With the 2023-24 school year now less than one week away, a majority of area districts have seen teachers return to their respective buildings to begin preparing. 

Teachers in the Winfield-Mt. Union and Lone Tree Community School Districts kicked off their first in-service day yesterday, while WACO and Columbus follow suit today. Staff members in the four districts continue their professional development tomorrow, as well as Monday, August 21 and Tuesday, August 22. 

For the Sigourney and Keota Community School Districts, new staff begin orientation tomorrow and all staff return for in-service days on the 21st and 22nd. 

The Winfield-Mt. Union, Lone Tree, WACO, Columbus, Sigourney, and Keota Community School Districts will welcome students back for the academic year on Wednesday, August 23.
