In one of the most aesthetically pleasing competitions of the Iowa State Fair, 65 exhibitors presented over 700 flowers in the FFA Floriculture competition judged on Thursday, August 10. At event’s end, it was the Mid-Prairie FFA taking home many of the top honors.

Mid-Prairie earned the overall Chapter Award, with several individuals recognized as well. Brock Fisher won the Award of Excellence, in addition to being named Champion of the Dahlia category. Bridget Fisher was Reserve Champion for Dahlias, while sweeping the Marigold and Zinnia categories, capturing the Champion and Reserve Champion titles for both.
