heat

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued an excessive heat warning for the entire KCII listening area through 9 p.m Wednesday, August 23rd. Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 117 are possible. KCII Weatherology Meteorologist Derek Heit shares tips to stay comfortable during the heat, “To help keep cool, drink plenty of water. Stay in the shade as much as possible, and if you must be outside, take occasional breaks in an air-conditioned building to cool down.” Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities. KCII will bring you the latest weather-related information.
