On Friday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report that a subject being held in the Washington County Jail had an arrest warrant. 32-year-old Joseph Halstead of Kalona was wanted in Washington County for eluding with a speed 25 miles per hour over the limit, a Class D Felony, operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, an aggravated misdemeanor, and driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor. These events happened in February of this year. Halstead is being held in the Washington County Jail on a $10,000 bond. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
