KCII News spoke with U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley about the recently unanimously passed resolution on the Congressional Trademark Caucus designating August as National Anti-Counterfeiting and Consumer Education and Awareness Month,  here are his thoughts: “What we are trying to do is influence people to be concerned about other countries, primarily China, stealing our trade secrets, our intellectual property, subsidizing their exports to unfairly compete against countries like the United States, where we don’t subsidize our exports. And just to show the importance of protecting intellectual property, patents, and to protect our trade secrets.”  The month highlights the importance of the roles of trademarks in the American economy and in protecting consumer safety.
