U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley voted in late July to approve the National Defense Package while adding some provisions to the annual bill. One bill that the Senator added to was the Baltic Security Resolution, here are his thoughts, “ It’s what we call a non-binding resolution to express the approval of Congress that the three Baltic State of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, ought to have the concern of the Americans, because they’re surrounded on three sides by Russia.” The Baltic Security Initiative is for the purpose of strengthening the defensive capabilities of the Baltic countries.
