It was a 4-1 weekend for the No. 11 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team in Donnellson at the Central Lee Invitational. The Hawks swept through pool play at 4-0, topping Keokuk 21-14 and 21-12, Van Buren 21-16 and 21-14, West Burlington 21-17 and 21-19 and the Home Central Lee Hawks 21-13 and 21-12 to advance to the championship match. In the title contest, West Burlington got their revenge, taking down Mid-Prairie 25-20 and 25-16 as the Hawks finished runners-up.

Individual weekend leaders for Mid-Prairie included Jovi Evans with 78 assists, Dakota Mitchell with 59 digs, Harper Pacha with 40 kills, Mitchell and Katelyn Harland with seven aces each and Callie Huber with four blocks. The top 15 Golden Hawks are now 5-1 on the year and travel to Independence Tuesday for a triangular with the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes and the home Mustangs.
