The Washington County Board of Supervisors accepted an appointment of Michael Huston to fill the unexpired term as a Lime Creek Township Trustee. Supervisor Jack Seward Jr. gives his insight “It was Dick Griffith that passed on, and we had two pretty good candidates for this position; I just let them talk amongst themselves to see who wanted to do it more and who thought they could handle it better, and Michael came out on top.” Township trustees are responsible for directly providing or contracting for fire protection and emergency services, maintaining cemeteries, enforcing fence regulations, and other tasks as needed. Township officers consist of three trustees and one clerk, who are required to meet at least twice a year.
