A pair of KCII area teams will be in action on the hard court tonight when the WACO Warrior volleyball team entertains Hillcrest Academy. The Warriors are 1-2 this season after a win over Pekin in straight sets and a pair of three set losses to Centerville and Van Buren in the Warriors home tournament August 21st in Wayland. In total, The Warriors have 31 kills and 26 assists this year with 79 digs, nine blocks and 18 aces. Individual leaders include Meredith Roth with 25 assists, Halle Shelman with 18 digs, 10 kills for Marie Farmer, seven aces and four blocks for Emma Wagler.

Hillcrest Academy is 2-1 this year after finishing second at the Keota tournament on the 21st, scoring wins over English Valleys and Highland before falling to the Eagles on their home floor in the title match. Team numbers include 50 kills, 47 assists, 110 digs and four blocks with 13 aces. Individual leaders are Claire Withrow with 44 assists, 15 kills, six aces and three blocks for Kylee Statler, and Malia Yoder with 28 digs. The Warriors have won the last four in the series, all by sweeps, with the Ravens last victory over WACO coming in 2018. Action starts tonight at 6:30p.m. on Bob Hilmer Court in Wayland.
