Washington County 4-Her Tyler Alderton, member of the Jackson Jets 4-H Club, earned reserve champion honors at the Iowa State Fair in the 4-H Horticulture Department for his Vegetable Container Display. Horticulture exhibits are checked in on the first Saturday of the fair and released on the following Monday. If 4-Hers are not able to pick up their produce from the Iowa State Fair, it is donated to a Des Moines area food bank.
