The No. 15 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team was beaten in their River Valley Conference opener Thursday at West Branch. The Bears got by the Hawks in five sets, by scores of 19-25, 25-20, 15-25, 28-26 and 15-13. The win moves West Branch to 4-3 on the year, while the Hawks fall to 7-2. Mid-Prairie is back on the court at home Thursday when they host West Liberty.
