All the gold belonged to the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk cross country teams Saturday at the Central College Invitational in Pella. The Hawks swept the boys and girls team and individual championships. The top ranked in 2A Golden Hawk girls won the meet with a near perfect score of 18, beating the 66 from Collins-Maxwell. Danielle Hostetler won her second individual title in as many meets, beating the field in 19:31. Other finishers for Mid-Prairie included Greta Sieren runner-up, Abby Fleming fourth, Brooklyn Stutzman fifth, Phoebe Shetler sixth, Annika Poll 11th and Dessa Poll 13th.

The seventh ranked Mid-Prairie boys had a meet best 29 points, beating second place Pella Christian’s 45. Emmett Swartzentruber won the individual championship in 16:53. Other Golden Hawk finishers included runner-up Jayse Yoder, Preston Yutzy fifth, Max Swartzentruber ninth, Daniel Rodgers 12th, Jesse Stultz 14th and Jacob Donaldson 15th.

Mid-Prairie will next be in action Saturday when they travel to Monticello.
