The Highland Huskies suffered a 33-12 defeat on the football field Friday night at Danville. Highland got on the board when quarterback Sage Hartley-Norman completed his only pass of the night, an 11-yard touchdown to fellow junior Ayden Havel that cut Danville’s lead to 13-6 going into halftime. But being unable to score in the third quarter and just once the entire second half would ultimately do the Huskies in.
On offense, Highland was paced by junior running back Logan McFarland, who rushed for 111 yards and a TD on 13 carries. McFarland also had a team-high 12-and-a-half tackles on defense. Senior Remington Fields added 4.5 tackles and a sack for the Huskies, who drop to 0-2 on the season. Highland returns home this Friday night to face Van Buren County.
