The Lone Tree Lions could not bring home a victory from this year’s Midland Volleyball Invitational. Along with losing to the host Midland, 21-11 and 21-9, Lone Tree also fell Saturday to Springville, 21-11 and 21-16; to Oelwein, 21-12 and 21-11; and to Fort Madison, 21-14 and 21-15.

For the tournament, Lions junior hitter Alex Dautremont finished with five kills and 10 digs. Senior Bailey McGrew had five kills, as did junior Cate Sexton, who also finished with three serving aces. In addition to handing out six assists, junior setter Hayden Yoder had three kills and nine digs. Lone Tree drops to 1-7 ahead of starting Super Conference North play tonight by facing WACO.
