The WACO Warriors continued a strong start to conference volleyball action with a four-set victory against the Lone Tree Lions last night. WACO took the first two sets 25-19 and 25-23. Lone Tree battled back and won a close third set 25-23, but the Warriors outlasted the Lions to claim the fourth frame 25-19 and win the match.

WACO senior hitter Emma Wagler had a big game with 10 kills, three serving aces, 13 digs and a block. Fellow senior Jessica Unternahrer dominated the back line and finished with 16 digs and five aces, while senior setter Meredith Roth handed out 33 assists in addition to two kills, an ace and 12 digs.

Juniors Ally Rinner and Ella Huisenga combined for 13 kills to help the Warriors improve to 2-0 in the Super Conference North and 7-2 overall. WACO next takes on Louisa-Muscatine tomorrow night. Lone Tree falls to 1-8 and next plays Pekin tomorrow evening.
