The Washington City Council approved a special event request from the Washington Public Library at their meeting on Tuesday. Youth Services Librarian Jenisa Harris gave some information to the Council, “Four thousand reading challenges, this summer we had a really successful summer reading program. So the reward for that is our end-of-summer library fun fest, that’s going to be Sunday, September 24th, from 3 to 4 in our back alley behind the library.” The End of Summer Library Fun Fest is open to all to attend.
