The Washington City Council approved special event requests at their meeting on Tuesday for multiple businesses and organizations. Marion Avenue Baptist Church will be having their 50th Anniversary on Saturday, September 23rd, Michael Griswold Assistant Pastor with the church had this to say about the event, “Saturday morning is kind of a picnic in Central Park. To celebrate our 50th Anniversary, each of our bus routes is picking a park where they visit and having an event there. So, our Washington route picked Central Park. They would like to do just a picnic there. There will be some games, some giveaways.” Other businesses with approved requests were Jaz It Up and Tipsy Travelers for their Fall Open House and Anniversary on September 7th and JT’s Sips during the Junkin Sisters Shop Hop on Friday, September 15th.
