A section of G28 in Louisa County was closed yesterday as road work began on deteriorated pavement.

This stretch of closed roadway, which is north of Conesville and south of Lone Tree, runs between County Road X14 and U Avenue. Motorists who use this portion of G28 will have to use 245th Street and U Avenue as a gravel detour. Trucks should use Highway 22 and Highway 70.

Construction is expected to continue until Monday, September 25.
