One of the most accomplished individual athletes in Washington High School history can officially call herself a Hall of Famer. Washington alum Sarah Nacos has been inducted into the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association Hall of Fame as part of their Class of 2023.

Nacos dominated during her time with the Demons, winning the individual Class 3A state championship in her first three seasons before finishing as runner-up in 2018. Nacos was named the IAHSCGA’s Player of the Year three straight times from 2015 to 2017 to go with her state titles, and she helped Washington win team state crowns in 2015, 2016 and 2018.

Nacos recently completed her college golf career playing at Bradley University. She was the only former player selected to the IAHSGCA Hall of Fame this year, joining six coaches that were inducted and becoming just the 41st player to make the Hall of Fame.
