Two Riverside residents were injured following a vehicle collision over the weekend. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at Highway 22 and the northwest exit ramp of Highway 218 in Riverside.

According to the minimal crash report, a 2013 Polaris Ranger driven by 61-year-old Mary Stumpf, also occupied by 61-year-old Terry Stumpf was west on Highway 22 near the Highway 218 southbound off-ramp. The vehicle was struck from behind by a 2002 Ford Ranger driven by a 14-year-old juvenile. The individual’s name has been withheld due to their juvenile status.

As a result of the collision, both occupants of the Polaris Ranger were injured. Mary Stumpf was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics by Washington County Ambulance, while Terry Stumpf was transported to the same hospital via Air Care. The driver of the Ford sustained no injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
