The Winfield-Mount Union cross country team had a number of good individual showings Tuesday at the Central Lee Invitational in Donnellson. The Wolves were led by junior Kohlby Newsom, who ran the team’s top time of 17 minutes 55 seconds. Senior Gabriel Hemsworth also ran well for the WMU boys, finishing in 19:09, while senior Ty Scorpil clocked in at 19:58 and sophomore Bowen Thomson finished in just under 20-and-a-half minutes.

Senior Afton Wilkerson led the Winfield-Mount Union girls by posting a time of 25:44, while sophomore Jana Isanta Vila finished in 27:26 for the Wolves, which will next race later today at the Fort Madison Invitational alongside Washington and Columbus.
