Brittney Tiller, Naturalist for Jefferson County Conservation since 2019, announced that she would be stepping down from the position at the end of the year. With a transition on the horizon, the Jefferson County Conservation Board is looking for someone to fill the role.
The job is a full-time, permanent position that includes presenting educational programs, designing and constructing nature center displays, and assisting with resource management among other responsibilities. Applicants are expected to have knowledge of Iowa’s flora and fauna, the ability to plan and conduct environmental education programs, as well as effective communication skills.
Applicants must also be at least 18 years old, have a Bachelor’s degree in environmental education, biology, or a related field, and no major criminal convictions.
