Over the last several weeks, the City of Wellman mailed out surveys to random residents. Anyone who received a survey is urged to complete it and drop it off at City Hall. 

As the City attempts to obtain funds for a drinking water improvement project, information from the survey will assist in its application for the Community Development Block Grant. Proposed improvements in the project consist of replacing and upsizing 13,500 feet of water main, hydrant replacement, adding meter pits, and establishing an additional backup water source. 

The survey requests household information, including the number of individuals living there, ethnicity, and annual income. It also offers residents a space to express their support or disapproval of the water system project.
