The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard a presentation about some projects that the Washington Economic Development Group has accomplished recently at their Tuesday meeting. WEDG Executive Director Mary Audia gave the presentation, “The Kalona student-built house number two is actually a duplex. We were able to do a fifty thousand dollar down payment assistance, twenty-five thousand per side from the Housing Trust Fund. We helped to collaborate that effort, and now both sides are sold.”  Audia said that the next Kalona student-built project would be starting soon.
