The Washington Public Library is hosting their end-of-summer Fun Fest on Sunday, September 24th, from 3-5 pm. KCII was able to speak with Youth Services Librarian Jenisa Harris to learn more, “We are so excited and proud of our summer reading participants. So we challenged them at the beginning of June to do four thousand reading activities, and they blew us out of the water; they completed it.” All are invited to this free event, which includes balloon animals, snow cones, cotton candy, face painting, music, games, and more. Check out all of the activities in the back alley behind the library.
