The Washington Demons powered their way to a thrilling victory in conference volleyball last night, needing all five sets to go on the road and take down Keokuk. Washington won the first set 25-13 but was on the wrong end of close margins in the next two frames, with Keokuk winning 25-20 and 25-19. Backs against the wall, the Demons edged out the Chiefs 25-22 in the fourth frame and found a way to win, claiming the decisive fifth set 15-7 to win the match.

The victory helps Washington improve to 3-2 in the Southeast Conference and 8-15 overall. The Demons are off the rest of the week and will return to the court this coming Tuesday night to play in the first round of the Southeast Conference Tournament in Fort Madison.
