A private family service for 101-year-old Marvel N. Werts of Algona, formerly of Wellman, will be held followed by burial at the Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. A memorial fund has been established for the Good Samaritan Society Activity Department. The Beatty Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.
