The Hillcrest Academy Raven cross country team traveled to Iowa City Thursday for the City High Bud Williams Invitational at the Ashton Course on the campus of the University of Iowa. The Raven girls did not post a team score, but Marie Yoder had the top finish of any Hillcrest runner, taking 25th in the field with a personal best time of 20:22. Other Raven runners included Rya Scott 79th, Delaney Shaw 96th and Brynna O’Rourke 102nd.

The Raven boys were 11th of 12 schools with 344 points. City High won their home meet with 62. Top Hillcrest finish came from Micah Gerber 72nd in 19:07. Others included Jesse Blossom 77th, Braden Hartstock 103rd, Jeremiah Danker 104th and Kyle Nueschwander 106th. Hillcrest runs again tonight when they host their final home meet of 2023.
