Kalona residents are advised that crews will be flushing fire hydrants this week.

Hydrant flushing begins on Tuesday, October 3 and will continue through Friday, October 6. Work starts daily at 6 a.m. and ends at approximately 4 p.m.

During this time, residents are reminded that they may experience lower water pressure and/or water discoloration. While the water is still safe for consumption, the discoloration could result in clothing stains for anyone doing laundry while the flushing is in progress.
