Washington County Hospital and Clinics is pleased to announce that Dean Vantiger, FNP, GS-C, has joined the medical team as the Long-Term Care Provider at WCHC. Vantiger will begin serving the local nursing home residents on October 2nd. He has more than 15 years of valuable experience in emergency and long-term care nursing, with the last nine as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and Hospitalist in a long-term care, clinic, and hospital setting. He is passionate about hospice care and has served in the role as an Associate Medical Director for hospice care. Vantiger is certified by the Geriatric Nurse Practitioners Association and is a member of the Iowa and American Nurse Practitioner Associations. WCHCs Long Term Care Provider serves residents of United Presbyterian Home and Halcyon House in Washington as well as Parkview Home in Wayland and Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction. Vantiger will provide on-site quick sick visits, medication reviews, and management of ongoing health issues.
