The 96th annual Aksarben Stock Show was held last month in Grand Island, Nebraska. Among hundreds of exhibitors from 14 different states, Columbus Junction’s Drew Totemeier came away with several honors.

Totemeier’s steer was awarded Champion Maine Anjou and Champion Continental Breed. Due to this success, he was asked to participate in The Grand Drive Performance, where his steer was selected as Reserve Grand Champion overall. Totemeier’s steer, named TJ, came in at a weight of 1,479 lbs.  

Totemeier is a sophomore at Columbus High School, where he is active in both athletics and FFA.
