The No. 8 in Class 3A Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team returned to the court Saturday at the Clear Creek Amana Tournament. The Hawks got wins over Central DeWitt 21-8 and 21-7 and Iowa Valley 21-10 and 21-5. The Golden Hawks dropped matches to No. 5 in Class 4A North Scott 21-12 and 21-13, No. 1 in Class 4A Clear Creek Amana 21-19 and 21-11 and No. 7 in Class 3A Union, La Porte City 21-19 and 21-17. Leaders on the day for the Hawks include Dakota Mitchell with 60 digs. Jovi Evans finished with 56 assists, 47 digs, and 32 kills. Avery Helmuth had 45 assists, Harper Pacha 26 kills, 26 digs and six aces, Lanee Duwa 25 digs, Paige Safly 21 kills and Callie Huber five blocks. Mid-Prairie is now 26-8 on the year. The Golden Hawk host the River Valley Conference Tournament tonight at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman.
