The Washington County Board of Supervisors met on Tuesday. On the agenda was the approval of final acceptance and payment for the Riverside Road Rumble Strip project. Washington County Engineer Jacob Thorius gave some more information, “The rumble strip project that we did on Riverside Road, just some recommendations on a little more oversight that’s why I’m here today, to bring you the final estimate for your review and approval, authorize that and we can close out that project and finalize everything with the contractor, everything was performed satisfactorily.” The board voted unanimously to approve the final payment, the total cost of the project was $65,400.80. The project added center-line rumble strips to W61, also known as Riverside Road. Construction took place on the road between G36 and Riverside City Limits.
