In a match to determine the sole champion of the North division of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference, the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves fell in straight sets last night at home to Wapello, 25-10, 25-21 and 25-15.

WMU senior outside hitter Audrie Gipple had seven kills and 10 digs, and senior setter Aurey Meeker handed out 11 assists to go with three serving aces and 10 digs, but it was not enough to give the Wolves a repeat conference championship.

Sophomore hitter Kellee Milks also had seven kills as Winfield-Mount Union dropped to 17-13 overall and finished conference play with a 7-1 record. WMU is off until they start the postseason Monday by hosting Danville in the first round of the Class 1A Region 8 tournament.
