A group of Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk football players have put their names among the elite in program history with their performances so far this year.

Golden Hawk junior quarterback Brady Weber is in the top 10 in a pair of categories. His 83 completions so far this year are sixth in school history for a single season. He is just behind Justin Swartzentruber’s 84 from 2002 for fifth on the all-time list. The school record belongs to Reid Miller with 125 connections in 2013.

Weber is ninth on the single season passing touchdowns list with 9 scoring throws on the year. Up next are a group of guys tied for fifth with 13 touchdown tosses including Seth Fisher in 1999 and 2000, Justin Swartzentruber in 2002 and Ryan Gent in 2008. The all-time record belongs to Travis Kern with 15 in 2003.

Sophomore running back Hudson Ehrenfelt scored five touchdowns on the ground in the Hawk’s district opener against West Burlington Notre Dame, placing him in a tie for fourth most in a single game with Adam Kos, Sean Thornton, Josh Berry, Josh Boone, Tanner Miller, Brody Barthelman, Ricky Vargas and Kayden Reinier. Tanner Miller, Travis Kern and Seth Fisher each scored six in a game to set the record.

Senior safety Dylan Henry’s 74-yard pick six to open the scoring in the Golden Hawk’s district win at Davis County is the fourth longest interception return for score in school history. The school record is Nick Luke’s 99 yard pick six against North Cedar in 2000.
