The Washington County Board of Supervisors had the second reading of the wind energy special valuation at their Tuesday meeting. There was discussion about waiving the third reading between board members, “Do we have any further comments of discussion? Do you guys really want to do that? Waive it? Yup, I made the motion. ” The third reading was waived in a three to two vote by the board. The Wind Energy Special Valuation Ordinance makes it so that any future wind farms would be taxed as a utility by the County.
