Several Sigourney students were injured Saturday night in a hay ride incident.

The ride was a non-school sponsored event, however the district has been in close contact with the families of the injured students. In a social media post from the Sigourney Community School District, 7-12 Principal, Shannon Webb has coordinated additional counseling support this week for any students who need it.

As the investigation is ongoing, the district has withheld the names of the students, as well as specific injuries. KCII will have more information as it becomes official.
