At their October meeting, the Winfield City Council approved a change in how the public works department will pick up leaves this fall.

While in the past, Winfield has utilized a street sweeper for leaf pick-up, the decision was made to discontinue this method to preserve the vehicle for longer. Starting this fall, Winfield residents are required to bag their leaves in paper yard waste bags and place them on the curb.

There is no limit on bags, and the public works department will pick them up during regular business hours. Residents are also welcome to bring their yard waste to the City’s burn site on 130th Street. With any questions, contact Winfield City Hall at 319-257-6661.
