Coming off of their fall play performance over the weekend, Keota High School students are set to hit the stage again this week with the school’s show choir, EagleRock!
The group is directed by Keota teacher Jane Edwards. With about 15 total performances throughout the school year, EagleRock! is making its debut at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25 in the school gymnasium. Junior member, Ava Greiner, tells KCII what sets an EagleRock! performance apart from traditional music concerts. “With show choir, there’s more singing and dancing. There’s more movement [and] costuming. Ms. Edwards always compares it to musical theater.”
Other members include seniors Noah Fisher, Emily Sheetz, and Gavin Bolander on percussion, juniors Austin Black, Grace Conger, Kate Elam, Landyn Greiner, and Mison Milam, sophomores Tierney Greiner, Kennedy Jackson, Emily Mahan, Emily Moeller, Luke Moeller, Jake Morris, Skyler Pringle, Gavin Sieren, and Dakota Dodd on keytar, and freshmen Emily Conger, Will Klein, Cali McCoid, Izzy Robinson, Cooper Strand, and Tucker Sprouse on trumpet.
Wednesday night’s performance is free for all to attend.
