The Highland Huskies found a way to end a long losing streak by playing their best football late in the 2023 season, and they were recognized for their efforts with six players receiving all-district honors as voted on by opposing coaches in Class A District 5.
That includes junior Sage Hartley-Norman, who receives first-team honors as an offensive utility player. Splitting time between quarterback and running back, Hartley-Norman rushed for a team-high 515 yards and three touchdowns while also passing for over 460 yards and three TDs.
Junior wide receiver Ayden Havel was a big-play threat for Highland this season and makes the first-team offense after catching 18 passes for 309 yards and four scores.
Junior Logan McFarland is a first-team linebacker after leading the Huskies with 55-and-a-half total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and four sacks. Honorable mentions go to senior Remington Fields and juniors Colten Sypherd and Isaac Kleese after Highland went 2-7 this season.
