The City of Winfield announced last week that it will be taking bids for snow removal for the 2023-24 winter season.

Each bid received is to include snow removal from sidewalks at the Winfield City Offices, sidewalks west of the fire station and around the library, two blocks of business district sidewalks on Locust Street, sidewalks on West Ash and North Olive around the sand volleyball lot, and the sidewalk south of the water tower on West Central Avenue. Snow removal at these sites must be completed before City Offices open at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Bids must be received by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, where they will be opened at the council meeting that night. Availability during business hours and weekends should be defined in the bid, which must also include a Certificate of Liability Insurance. Bid approval will be made by the Winfield City Council.
