After the success the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team enjoyed this fall, they were rewarded with a handful of spots on this year’s All-River Valley Conference squads.

Junior libero Dakota Mitchell was a first team All-RVC selection. She led Class 3A with 639 digs and her 55 aces from the backline were eighth in 3A. She also added 105 assists.

Sophomore outside hitter and setter Jovi Evans was also named to the first team in the River Valley. Evans ranked in the top 10 of 3A in four different categories. She finished with 64 aces, third in 3A, a .410 kill efficiency, sixth in 3A, 376 kills, ninth most and 432 serving attempts, ninth most. With 480 digs Evans was fourth in the RVC South. Her 674 assists were sixth in the River Valley South

Junior middle and right side hitter Callie Huber was a second team All-RVC choice. She was third in 3A with a .450 kill efficiency rating. Her 74 blocks were third in the league.

Sophomore outside and right side hitter Harper Pacha was named second team All-RVC. Pacha was 10th in conference with 331 kills. Her .311 kill efficiency rating was 10th best in the RVC. Pacha also piled up 263 digs, 49 aces, fourth in conference and 38 blocks.

Senior Paige Safly was an honorable mention River Valley selection. Safly scored 172 kills with a .258 efficiency rating, and 36 blocks

The Golden Hawks spent all season ranked in the top 15 of Class 3A by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union while piling up a 31-11 overall record, advancing to the regional finals of the Class 3A tournament. The Hawks say goodbye to three seniors, Safly, Reese Good and Ava Pence.
