The results are in for the city and school election in Washington County. While the City of Washington has no contested races, the cities of  Brighton, Kalona, Riverside, and Wellman were among those that did. 

For two Kalona City Council seats, Janelle Bender received 322 votes, and Gregory Schmidt 255 votes.  

For three Riverside City Council vacancies Ryan Rogerson received 106 votes, Lois Schneider 104 votes, and Kevin Kiene received 94 votes. 

For the three vacancies on the Wellman City Council Nathan Klostermann received 166 votes, Angela Stutzman 157 votes, and Aaron Fleming received 146 votes. 

For the three Brighton City Council seats, Charles Emry received 47 votes, Dick Green 44 votes, and David Pratt with 40 votes. 

In the contested school board race for Mid Prairie Community School Districts four open seats Randy Billups received 937 votes, Denise Chittick 915 votes, Ryan Schlabaugh 899 votes, Mary Allred 884 votes. 

The Mid-Prairie Community School District Public Measure VF passed with 792 votes. (70.03%)

The Keota Community School District results for three seats include Andy Conrad with 253 votes, Billie Kindred with 220 votes, Jim Tinnes with 195 votes.
