During YouthFest, the annual 4-H staff professional development conference, awards are given to honor individuals for outstanding work that has been accomplished throughout the state in the 4-H program. One 2023 award recipient was Amy Green, Washington County Youth Coordinator. Green earned the recognition because Washington County 4-H is seen as thriving and vibrant under her leadership. 4-H is more than a program in Washington County, it is a family due to the sense of belonging Green creates for 4-H members, families, volunteers, partners, stakeholders, and staff. Amy is a seasoned 4-H professional whose passion for the program grows stronger every year. Washington County continues to reach large and diverse audiences, through new program efforts such as Mindful Teen and Salir Adalante.
