A Hedrick man pleaded guilty last Friday to eight counts of sex abuse in the third degree, each a class C felony.

According to the plea agreement, 31-year-old Matthew Reynolds has been charged with five counts of sex abuse in Keokuk County and three counts in Jefferson County. Prior to the plea agreement, Reynolds had been charged with 20 counts of sex abuse in August of 2022. The victims included two children and several women over an eight-year span, with ages ranging from four to thirty-two. Reynolds had previously been charged with child enticement in 2021.

His sentencing is scheduled for January 9, 2024. KCII will have more information as it becomes official.
