First-year starter Hudson Ehrenfelt exploded on the Mid-Prairie football scene and earned District Offensive MVP in Class 2A District 5 in 2023.

The sensational sophomore lit up opposing teams out of the backfield. Ehrenfelt finished with 1,977 all-purpose yards and 16 total touchdowns. He rushed for 1,336 yards on 227 carries with 12 scores. He hauled in 26 passes for 355 yards and three more touchdowns. Ehrenfelt finished third in class 2A in all-purpose yards, third in total carries, and fifth in rushing yards. He led the district in kickoff return average. He was historic in his first season in the backfield, putting up five rushing touchdowns in a win over West Burlington Notre Dame, second most in a single contest in school history. His rushing yards total was eighth most in a year and his  touchdown total, ninth most.

Mid-Prairie finished the season at 5-5 in the second round of the playoffs.
