The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls wrestling team hauled home hardware from their season opening tournament Tuesday night at North Scott. The Hawks finished fourth as a team with 119 points. The Clinton River Queens won the championship with 151. The Golden Hawks were led by four individual champs on the evening.
At 115lbs in the D Bracket Austyn Sexton went 2-0 on the night with a pair of wins by fall to claim gold.
At 130lbs Ashlee Farrier swept through three matches by pin en route to the championship.
At 140lbs Ellie Brenneman rolled to gold with three pins in three matches.
In the 140lb C Division Emmerson Moore was the champ following a 2-0 night with two falls.
Runners-up included Addyson Ascher at 125C, Adelyn Huston at 155B and Ellie Callahan at 170lbs.
Ruby Miller at 110lbs, Madison Reinier at 130D, Kirstyn Bell at 145lbs and Mardie Berry at 155 were all third.
Mid-Prairie is next on the mat Monday when they travel to West Liberty.
