The Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) is kicking off their 10th year of raising money by participating in No Shave November. Through the last 10 years, WCSO has raised $30,772.77 that has been donated to area non-profit organizations. This year WCSO staff are participating so that they can give a donation to HAWKEYE CANS FOR CANCER. Hawkeye Cans for Cancer is a nonprofit organization created to help local cancer patients and families with expenses not covered by insurance while seeking treatment. Such as parking, gas, and meals while traveling to and from the hospital or treatment location. Deputies, Jailers, and Staff will collect sponsors and donations which then allows them to grow their beard for the month of November.
