From now through December 4, the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office is accepting bids for three different surplus vehicles.
The first is a 2011 AM General Model M1038 Humvee. Previously used for military purposes, the vehicle has 8,582 miles, new batteries, and a new fuel pump. The minimum starting bid is $7,500. Vehicle number two is a 2013 Dodge Charger Pursuit Model Hemi V8. With no known mechanical issues, this has 138,939 miles and has a jasper hemi engine at 84,352 miles. The final vehicle is a 2014 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor V6. This vehicle has approximately 178,417 miles and does have a blown engine. These may be examined on weekdays at the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Each vehicle will be sold “as is” and sales are final with no warranties. Sealed bids must be taken to the Louisa County Auditor’s Office in Wapello by 4 p.m. on December 4. Sealed bids will be opened the following day.
