The Washington City Council approved a Downtown Investment Grant at their Tuesday meeting. Mayor Pro-Tem Millie Youngquist gives more information on the recipients, “Endorsing a Downtown Investment Grant with Ed and Isabella Santoro for 217 West Main Street, they are going to be receiving a DIG grant of $50,000.”  The council voted unanimously to approve the $50,000 DIG grant for the property located at 217 W. Main St. The building received heavy damage in a fire in February of 2023.
